Wib Achieves Industry Recognition Following Record Year

Revered industry reports recognize Wib as a strong leader in the API market

Tel Aviv, Israel – Feb 23, 2023 – Wib, the fast-growth cybersecurity startup pioneering a new era in advanced API security, is pleased to announce that it has been included in this year’s Futuriom 50. The full Futuriom 50 report includes an in-depth analysis of key market trends and the companies it deems best positioned to achieve significant growth in the coming decade.

Each year, leading analyst firm Futuriom names the strongest private companies in key markets spanning cloud, communications infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Wib joins an exclusive list of successful Futoriom alumni, several of which have had major exits, including either major sales or IPO valued at billions of dollars, since last year’s report. The following month Wib joined the Top 10 Cybesecurity Providers list for 2023, a report published annually by GRC Viewpoint recognizing Wib’s capability as the  ‘only firm extending a solution for the entire API Lifcycle’.

This Industry recognition comes off the heels of a milestone year for Wib, which saw the rapidly growing startup launch its API Security Platform, secure $16m in funding, and accelerate its go-to-market momentum through a series of strategic channel partnerships. Most recently, Wib launched a partnership with SecureIT, a leading provider of cybersecurity, compliance, consulting, and managed services, to deliver its API Security Platform to customers across the Nordics region.

In addition to the launch of its API Security Platform, in 2022 Wib announced the industry’s first API PenTesting-as-a-service (PTaas) for application security, APIs, and business logic vulnerabilities. Wib launched its innovative PTaaS to help customers better understand, see and protect API attack surfaces, which Gartner predicts will quickly become the most-frequent attack vector.

“We’re honored to be included in such esteemed company,” added Gil Don, CEO and Co-founder of Wib. “In the last year, our mission to deliver full API visibility, and therefore better security, for the development lifecycle has been recognized by our growing partner ecosystem, our $16m investment, and now by industry experts at Futuriom. It’s reaffirming what we’ve always known: that API security is now business critical and should be at the top of everyone’s security priority list.”

As API adoption continues to rise, the need to better access, understand and secure API-enabled technologies across private and public entities alike will only continue to grow. Today, Wib offers the only solution to protect the entire API development lifecycle. Through tried and tested experience in attacking and defending APIs, Wib is uniquely suited to help customers gain total visibility as they remove historic blindspots and illuminate the relationship between APIs and their risk factors.
